Why Mighty Law Died
You can read the 2022 essay announcing Mighty Law’s launch here. It’s now outdated, but it shows where our thinking was at the time.
Mighty Law operated under a public Code of Conduct that, even today, is an unusually direct statement of values from a personal injury law firm.
Mighty Law stopped taking new cases in 2023 and no longer operates as a full-service law firm.
Mighty Law is not the same as Mighty. Mighty Law is not the same as Mighty Counsel PLLC.
These are three distinct entities, with different ownership and different roles:
Mighty Law (2021–2023) was a full-service personal injury law firm. It is no longer operating.Mighty Counsel PLLC is a separate law firm, with separate ownership. It co-counsels with local firms to represent consumers who need legal representation, including consumers who weren't able to settle their claim on their own through Mighty.com.
Mighty Counsel works with a vetted network of attorneys across all 50 states, and often invites multiple qualified lawyers to bid on a case. Local lawyers compete by lowering their fee or by agreeing not to take a fee on any offer the consumer already has, so consumers get fairer representation.
Mighty is an AI company that helps accident victims understand their claim before hiring a lawyer. Mighty compiles a comprehensive case file that can be sent to the insurance company for a settlement offer, and to personal injury lawyers who can bid to represent the consumer. It's free. Mighty is not a law firm and does not provide legal services.
